Drops of Hope

If you are seeing this page, it means that you have supported the Drops of Hope Project and we cannot thank you enough!
We will be putting updates on this page for the progress of our 3rd Drops of Hope Filter in the coming months! In the meantime learn more about the project here:
In the past 2 years the Tiny Buds Drops of Hope project has been able to provide access to clean and safe water for children and families in far-flung areas of the Philippines.

But this year 3 we see that the work is truly not over.
That is why our work continues! We have already identified a community to build our 3rd Drops of Hope sustainable village water filter!

For each Baby Bottle Wash and Waterfill wipes sold, we will allocate a portion of proceeds towards building the 3rd village water filter under the Drops of Hope program.
We are grateful for your continues support as our hope is to keep building more water filters and to keep touching more families one drop at a time .
UPDATES FOR THE PROGRESS OF OUR 3RD DROPS OF HOPE FILTER
LAY-OUTING PHASE
Despite the rain, the team continues to work on the lay outing phase with the assistance of four (4) individuals, particularly during the clearing times of the area. The project site is located very close to the road. It takes two (2) days to achieve success.
BUILDING FOUNDATION AND FRAMEWORKS OF VILLAGE BIOSAND FILTRATION PHASE
The team faced difficulties because it was located very close to the road. The road added to the team's challenges, especially under the sun, but they are giving their best effort to complete the job with high quality.
MASONRY WORKS PHASE
This phase marks the commencement of installing the handwashing component of the Village BioSand Filtration System and the placement of all the necessary pipes to support and facilitate the flow of water.
PLATFORM FINISHING PHASE
During this phase, the platform and handwashing facilities have been finalized. The team only needs to apply the first coat of white paint. This stage can be challenging, particularly in the event of rain. To safeguard both the project and the team from rain, they have improvised a small roof using old tarpaulin.
ROOFING OF VILLAGE BIOSAND FILTRATION PHASE (COUNTERPART OF SCHOOL)
Upon the completion of the platform, the school principal organized all the necessary materials for the roofing. The school established a specific timeline for this task, allotting 1 week to finish it. Currently, the roofing is now 100% done. And the installation of the 3 tanks was made right after the roofing phase.
INSTALLATION OF THE SYTEM (3 TANKS)
Right after the completion of roofing and installation of the 3 tanks, final coating is the last
phase of the project construction followed by water test after 15 days of installation of the 3 tanks.
ORIENTATION OF OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE (WASH, MHM, AND OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE)
During the Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene training, school personnel, barangay health workers, parents, and learners were taught about the importance of cleanliness in the home, personal hygiene, and environmental sanitation. The training emphasized the significance of using clean and safe water for drinking and other purposes to prevent illnesses caused by contaminated water. They also learned how to use and maintain the Village BioSand Filtration System project.
PROJECT TURN OVER
The Tiny Buds Team personally conducted the turnover of the project to the community, symbolizing the official handover of responsibilities and ownership. This moment marks the beginning of sustained use and care for the donated resources, ensuring that the beneficiaries—especially the children—continue to enjoy the benefits of the project.
